Dell contributes to Floods Relief Efforts in Thailand

Company hopes to help the people in Thailand rebuild their lives

Dell announced that it will contribute to the Thailand flood relief efforts with a donation of Bt10.7 million (USD350,000) to the UNICEF Thailand Disaster Relief. The funds will be used to provide emergency relief and post-flood assistance to affected children and families in the areas of health, water supply and sanitation, hygiene promotion and education.

"Our thoughts and concerns are with our fellow Thai people and businesses as they face the challenges of rebuilding their homes and companies and we hope to provide aid to them through our contributions., said Anothai Wettayakorn, Managing Director, Dell Corporation (Thailand) and General Manager for Indochina.

In addition to the partnership with UNICEF, Dell is putting together other initiatives to support recovery. These include:

· Encouraging Dell volunteers to help with public flood mitigation and rectification activities

· Up to 60% cost reduction for many spare parts, including motherboards, memory and keyboards help partners and customers re-establish their businesses
